The Edah website was created to help fellow believers achieve success in their small businesses, and provide a community for fellow entrepreneurs.

Here are some tips from us from operating a profitable food truck, Shofar Farms, for seven years, and a restaurant, not-profitable (sigh) for one year:

• Start Small

  You can always scale up. But if starting big means a big investment up front in equipment, payroll, etc., then Start small and add as you go.

• Start with just one or two products or services

  Same idea…you can always add more later. Get good at your core product or service.

• Delegate

  you can’t do this alone. get your family and friends in your corner and use their skills and hopefully free labor (!) to help you until you can afford to hire staff

• Offer quality over quantity

  one good product or service is better than a huge selection

• Stay out of debt as much as possible

  Starting small allows for less start-up costs. make sure the business can support what you are offering.

You can do this! The best business is the one you do.
